City of Wonderful Twilights, beautiful São João da Boa Vista, founded on June 21, 1821 by Antonio Machado de Oliveira and his brothers in-laws, coming from Itajubá, city of Minas Gerais, reaching the region to day eve that marked the cult of St. John the Baptist, which gave rise to the name of the city.
