ABOUT THE CITY

Luminosa, actually it is not a city, but rather a neighborhood from Brazópolis, a mineira (mining) town which is located on the border with Piranguçu the astronomical observatory Pico dos Dias or OPD, the 1864 meters of altitude.

However, THE WALK OF FAITH trial it is in Luminosa. The feeling by reaching  Luminosa, it is to be in a place where time has stopped. In the central square (which is unique) in front of the bakery, a sign warns: IS FORBIDDEN TO TIE ANIMALS.

In Luminosa, the horse culture as a means of locomotion is very much alive, as the freedom of children playing in the square and talk to strangers spontaneously, not only for the rate, but certainly not cultivate the preconceptions of large cities.
