ANDRADAS-MG

ABOUT THE CITY

Mining town located in the micro region of Pocos de Caldas.
Until 1888 it was a district of Sao Sebastiao do Jaguari, connected to the city of Caldas.
He dismembered with Caracol place name, name of a mountain range that frames the city. Came to be called Andradas in honor of Antonio Carlos Ribeiro de Andrada, born in Barbacena-MG, belonging to a family of greatest tradition in Brazilian politics, elected governor of Minas Gerais in 1926.
The Italian immigration, its soil and favorable climate made it the most important wine region of Minas Gerais.
