ABOUT THE CITY

Bathed by Doce (Sweet) and Verde (green) Rivers, the city came to a camp of workers who cut wood to supply the railway sleepers that followed the Rio Pardo. The first station of the locality was called Rio Doce, then went on to Rio Verde, where he was inspired by the city in Tupi (a indigenous language).
