ABOUT THE CITY

The region was first settled when the opening track, starting from Piracicaba / SP, went to the gold mines of Goiás, in the late eighteenth century. Like many cities in the state of São Paulo, São Carlos has experienced great development in the coffee time and the arriving of the railway.
