“The pilgrimage is,\u00a0first of all,\u00a0a journey to a sacred place, whether for a place nearby or to a distant location.\u00a0But it is more than that, because as pilgrims, travelers are faced with rituals, objects and sacred architecture. Traveling alone or in a group, the travel experience can be as important as achieving a specific goal.<\/h4>\n

Sometimes the journey itself is an essential aspect of the pilgrimage, which involves difficulties and requires good physical preparation.\u00a0Other times, the journey is almost intangible and the destination can be anywhere.<\/h4>\n

The pilgrimage has to do with two aspects: with the pilgrim returning home, carrying his memories and\u00a0souvenirs\u00a0of the trip and the fact that the pilgrim completed the trip … “<\/h4>\n

In general, whatever the meaning for the pilgrimage, the elevation of the being, the sense of solidarity, love for mankind, compassion and renewal of faith, culminating in the intimate feel of each pilgrim, pilgrimages around the world are based in the need that humanity feels to evolve through faith, seeking meaning and connection to its higher power.<\/h4>\n
